Why a DVC Membership is So Special
When my family decided to invest in a Disney Vacation Club Membership 12 years ago, we knew we were embarking on something extraordinary, but we had no idea of the impact it would have on the countless core memories we have since made. Although neither my husband nor I grew up visiting Walt Disney World Resort, we knew that we wanted to travel with our family to create long-lasting memories out of the little moments of magic.
Like the Genie in the lamp, a Disney Vacation Club Membership grants my family the luxury to choose the perfect vacation based on the travel party (we often go on multigenerational trips), staying in the type of accommodations we love, with the flexibility to travel at our convenience. Whether we opt for a Deluxe studio on the monorail loop at Walt Disney World Resort for a mother-daughter trip, travel to the serene Aulani, Disney Vacation Club Villas and splash in the Waikolohe Stream, or stroll along the sandy shores of Disney’s Vero Beach Resort searching for turtle tracks, there are accommodations that are tailored to every style of vacation.
As our four daughters are growing up visiting Walt Disney World Resort, they’re creating their own treasured memories thanks to our Disney Vacation Club Membership. From attending the Merry Member’s Mixer on our inaugural Disney Vacation Club trip, where we mingled with Mickey Mouse and friends all decked out in their holiday best, to witnessing awe-inspiring fireworks display exclusively for Members at one of the Moonlight Magic events at EPCOT.
While my family adores the special events reserved for Members, we can’t forget about the little touches of magic our Membership adds to our vacations. We love to pause and take time out of our day to visit the Member Lounge in the Imagination! Pavilion at EPCOT and for my daughters, there is no better grand finale than finishing our day at the Top of the World Lounge - A Villains Lair atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Watching Happily Ever After from a completely different perspective while still hearing the heart-swelling soundtrack is an incredible way to conclude our day.
Perhaps the most magical part of a Disney Vacation Club Membership is the joy it brings and knowing that we can enjoy it for years to come. Saying “au revoir” to Walt Disney World Resort is never easy but knowing that we’ll be back real soon for another DVC vacation makes departing all the more bearable!
