The Most Unique DVC Room My Family Has Ever Stayed In

Variety is the spice of my Disney life and one of the things I love most about vacationing with my Disney Vacation Club Membership. Our Membership has made my family’s dream of returning to the magic time and time again a reality, and although we visit our happy place, Walt Disney World Resort, several times per year, we have never taken the same trip twice. With Disney Vacation Club’s wide array of unique accommodations to fit any travel party and style, every one of our vacations has been unique and as exciting, memorable and magical as the first. But one Disney Vacation Club Resort room stands out as my family’s most unique adventure to date, and that adventure began when we arrived at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas – Kidani Village.

 

From the moment we entered the lantern-lit lobby of Kidani Village, my family and I were transported to a beautiful African village on the savanna. With stunning African décor, traditional music, unique dining experiences and wildlife roaming the savanna, the immersive theming put us right in the middle of the story the way only Disney does. We immediately knew that this Resort was special. Then, we got to our room, and our jaws hit the floor.

 

I will never forget our daughter’s reaction as we stepped into our One-Bedroom Villa with a Savanna View. While my wife and I were in awe, our daughter could not stop squealing with excitement and delight as she saw giraffes and zebras roaming right outside of our window. Hanging out with safari animals while cooking breakfast in the kitchen, having morning coffee on the balcony or sipping wine while playing board games in the living room was extraordinary and unforgettable. With our gorgeous, private primary bedroom, two full bathrooms, living room, full kitchen, dining area, and washer and dryer right in the room, it was the perfect home away from home right in the middle of the magic.

 

So, where will our Disney Vacation Club Membership take us next? That’s still up for debate. I’m dreaming of a holiday vacation relaxing in front of a crackling fireplace or soaking in our private hot tub in a Cabin at Copper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. My wife is vying for a summer vacation watching fireworks from the private plunge pool in our over-water Bungalow at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. While our next adventure is to be determined, one thing is certain: Disney Vacation Club offers enough incredible, unique accommodations for my family to make a lifetime of magical memories together. And that’s the plan!
