Disney Vacation Club Tips

How Disney Vacation Club makes traveling with families better than ever

My family and I were first introduced to Disney Vacation Club while at the Walt Disney World Resort, staying in a Cars family suite at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort. With preschoolers in tow, I loved having space beyond a regular hotel room where we could spread out. The kitchenette and extra bathroom made our time in the room so much easier and more enjoyable, but I missed the dining options and pool areas of the deluxe resorts. When I discovered the villa accommodations available through Disney Vacation Club, it was like the Genie had granted my wish!

My favorite space in any of the Disney Vacation Club Resort rooms is the balcony (or patio)! My husband and I will often enjoy a late night drink after the kids have gone to sleep and this space allows us to unwind and enjoy the property without disturbing the kids. The separate bedroom offered in the 1-Bedroom and larger villas lets everyone get the rest we need to rope drop the next park on our agenda.

Even on vacation, mornings can be hectic, but the full size refrigerator and table has been a game-changer for my family. Standard in the 1-Bedroom and larger villas, the full kitchen helps us ease into the day and enjoy a light breakfast as a family as we are waking up. I like to pre-order a small selection of groceries to have on hand when we arrive. Keeping hunger at bay helps ensure all the Mouseketeers in my family have a Magical day.

Beyond the interiors of the villa accommodations, being a Disney Vacation Club Member has benefits we treasure like discounts on dining, merchandise and even experiences. Recently we were inspired to try something new on our next vacation just by browsing through the Member Benefits section of the website. In a few weeks we’ll be playing FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course where Disney Vacation Club Members can enjoy special pricing.

From the well thought out and appointed rooms to the discounts and even the Member exclusive spaces like the lounge in EPCOT where my kids love to grab a drink, being a Disney Vacation Club Member has changed the way we experience the Walt Disney World Resort.

Elements depicted are part of Membership Extras, which is an incidental benefit – these offers are subject to availability, change or termination and may require a fee.
