Good morning! Our grandchildren will be visiting again this summer (2 yrs, 3 yrs and 6 yrs) and they've been talking about meeting Mickey and Minnie this year. Can we purchase tickets to meet them while we are there? breakfast, lunch, dinner? thx

    Hiya Chris!

Thank you so much for stopping by planDisney with your question about meeting Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Oh boy, your grandchildren sure have wonderful taste, wanting to meet the mouse who started it all, along with the fabulous Miss Minnie Mouse herself! There is just something so magical about watching little ones light up the moment they see Mickey’s big smile or Minnie’s iconic polka-dot bow.

So Chris, hot-diggity-dog!  Let’s jump right into some magical places where your grandchildren can meet this lovable duo! One of my favorite recommendations as a mom of two young daughters is to enjoy a character dining experience. Character meals are such a relaxed and fun way to meet Mickey and Minnie because the characters come right to your table while you enjoy your meal. My girls absolutely love dancing along when the music starts, waving to the characters across the room, and, of course, giving Mickey and Minnie the biggest hugs. I always say make sure you have your camera and autograph books ready because these are the moments you will treasure forever.

Some wonderful spots where you may be able to meet Mickey and Minnie include Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary Resort, Hollywood & Vine at Hollywood Studios, and Cape May Cafe for breakfast at Beach Club Resort. One of my family’s personal favorites is breakfast at Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera. Seeing Mickey and Minnie dressed in their adorable artist-inspired outfits always feels extra magical. Just remember that characters are always subject to change.

I also highly recommend making your dining reservations as early as possible. Dining reservations open 60 days before your visit, and if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you can book for your entire stay, up to 10 days, starting at that 60-day mark.

Now, Chris, if you decide not to do a character dining experience, you can still find Mickey and Minnie throughout the parks using the My Disney Experience app. Simply tap the map pin icon at the bottom of the app, filter by “Characters,” and you can see where Mickey and Minnie are meeting guests that day. I personally like switching the map to list view first because it makes it easier to search by character and location.

One of my family’s favorite places to meet Mickey and Minnie is Red Carpet Dreams at Hollywood Studios. Minnie is usually dressed in her glamorous Hollywood-style outfit there, and my girls absolutely love seeing her all dressed up and sparkling like a movie star. As always, be sure to check the My Disney Experience app during your visit since character locations and appearances can change.

Chris, I hope this helps answer your question and helps you plan some truly magical memories with your grandchildren. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to stop by and visit us again!

    See you real soon,
    Christina
