Hello, I have a question in regards to using personal stroller wagons on the two private islands? Are you allowed to bring them on the ships and store them in your room til you get off the ships to use? Thank you

    Ahoy there, Joanna!

Thank you for sailing back to planDisney, this time with your stroller and wagon question. It looks like you are getting ready for a magical voyage this January, and that is such an exciting time to sail! My family actually sailed this past January aboard the Disney Destiny, and it was absolutely incredible. The weather was practically perfect, the seas were calm, and my girls fully embraced unlimited soft-serve ice cream!

So, Joanna, let’s sail right into your question! According to the Disney Cruise Line's prohibited and restricted items policy, only collapsible wagons are permitted onboard. Standard wagons are not allowed and may be confiscated.

I also had the pleasure to speak with a friendly Disney Cast Member who informed me that, as long as the wagon is collapsible and fits inside your stateroom when not in use, you should be all set. Just remember, it cannot be stored in the hallways or outside your stateroom door, as Disney wants to keep those hallways clear for safety.

On all our Disney cruises with little ones, we have personally opted for a lightweight umbrella stroller. I found it much easier to maneuver through the ship’s hallways, elevators, and busy decks, especially after those late-night dance parties and character meet-and-greets. It was also super convenient when exploring both Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

One thing I always love reminding fellow cruisers is that both islands offer complimentary beach-ready wagons for guests to use while enjoying the island. You can also leave your beach towels at home, as they are provided both on board and on the islands. Just don’t forget your sunscreen before heading off for your island adventure!

Joanna, I hope this helps your planning feel smooth sailing from here on out. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to stop by and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,

    Christina
