Hey there, Cory,
I hope you're having a magical day in the parks! I'm reminded of one of my favorite TV episodes as I answer your question from home on a rainy day
far from the Sunshine State. "I'm so happy (for you) and not at all jealous." Just kidding, we can still be friends!
It's great to hear you've purchased
Memory Maker for your visit. In my opinion, it's truly the best vacation souvenir! My family always makes a point to say "cheese" with
Disney PhotoPass photographers around the parks, and we especially love looking back on all our attraction photos. As you'll see, those silly expressions live on long after the camera flash fades.
You'll be glad to know you can access
photos from eligible attractions even if you decide not to join your wife and son for a particular experience. There are a few caveats to consider, so let's talk through them. First, be sure your wife and son are connected on our
Family & Friends list. If you're visiting as part of a room-and-ticket package or you purchased Lightning Lane Passes together, you are likely already connected, but
here are instructions for linking everyone.
Next, you'll want to make sure someone in the riding group is wearing a MagicBand or has a Bluetooth-enabled mobile device with them on the ride. In most cases, photos will link automatically, but I always tap my
MagicBand+ on photo display kiosks at the ride exit when I see my group, just as a backup. You'll also want to make sure your wife has her My Disney Experience Account
settings set to enable photo sharing with you.
Finally, head to your
My Disney Experience app, click the feature menu (☰) at the bottom right of the screen, and scroll down to Photo Gallery. You'll notice a toggle button to "Include Family & Friends" at the top of the screen. Make sure that's switched on, and you should be able to view and download photos for up to 25 connected guests on your Family & Friends list. If you notice any missing photos or need guidance on how to download your images,
check out my recent answer for another guest here.
Cory, I'm wishing your family the best day ever and plenty of magic throughout the rest of your visit. If any other questions pop into focus, please don't hesitate to snap right back over and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
