About Me

Hey there, friends! I'm Amy, a mom of two Mouseketeers and one Disney Doodle, living my very own happily ever after alongside my husband since 2006. A born and raised "Jersey girl," I'm now a proud resident of the Tar Heel state; a relocation that put us within a few hours' drive of Walt Disney World Resort. While my husband travels frequently for work, I run a well-oiled machine at home- juggling my 7 am usual morning lineup straight through the after-school activity schedule like a pro. I'm a go, go, go type of girl, always dreaming up and planning out new projects and adventures. When there's an unclaimed spot on my daily agenda, I enjoy cookie decorating, working out, and documenting my family's adventures in digital photo albums.

About My Family

My husband and I met in high school more than 20 years ago, and he's been the Carl to my Ellie ever since. We fully believe that "adventure is out there" and are raising our two fantastic kids to chase big dreams knowing all the magic they need is already right within them.

Once our Disney mode is fully activated, we love hitting the parks from rope drop to close, screaming our hearts out on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and eating as many Mickey pretzels, DOLE Whips, and Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums as we can. When it's time for relaxing, we're just as happy splashing at our resort pool or better yet, sinking our toes into the sand on Castaway Cay.

When we aren't counting down to our next Disney vacation, we love getting out together for hikes both in and out of the National Parks, a trip to the beach, or even a cozy night in playing Toy Story Monopoly. We love the arts and can often be found checking out a new exhibit in town or a local performance- be it our own musical theatre-loving children on stage, or a professional tour.

About My Disney Experience

As a child, I was lucky to visit Walt Disney World Resort a handful of times. I vividly remember learning to swim in Disney's Contemporary Resort pool (and the commemorative caricature made in celebration), just as fondly as I recall watching the Monorail glide through the resort in amazement. My parents still tease me about a clay dragon sculpture I accidentally destroyed in the doorway of our resort room after my dad carefully carried it around EPCOT World Showcase for an entire day as it dried.

Though Disney was always part of my life growing up, it wasn't until I took my own children on their first trip to Disneyland Resort that the magic really became part of me. I was hooked from that first magical moment in Cars Land and wanted to bottle the feelings of excitement, nostalgia, and looks of absolute wonder in my children's eyes to enjoy every day.

We've alternated visits to Walt Disney World and Disneyland nearly every year since that first family trip in 2015, with a few Disney Cruise Line voyages thrown in for good measure! It's been my absolute joy to raise my kids on Disney magic, and as new Disney Vacation Club members, we look forward to continuing this tradition for decades to come.
