You're gearing up for a wonderful stay at
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside, and I couldn't be more excited for you. This resort is so beautiful and so full of Southern charm that you might want to move in for good! Robert, I see you're wondering if your resort room will offer all the creature comforts of home, so let's take a look at the amenities you'll find at Port Orleans Resort - Riverside.
As you may already know, Port Orleans - Riverside is made up of two distinct sections: the stately mansions of Magnolia Bend and the rustic cottages of Alligator Bayou. No matter which section you call "home" for your stay, your room will come stocked with a convenient
beverage cooler. These are great for keeping snacks and beverages cool. However, they don't get quite as cold as a regular refrigerator, so they aren't suitable for storing refrigerated medications. If you need to request a standard refrigerator, I suggest calling the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line to speak with a Disney Cast Member. Refrigerators are available on a limited basis, but Cast Members are always happy to help when they can!
Now let's talk about that microwave. Unfortunately, microwaves generally aren't available in standard rooms at Riverside. However, there is a microwave at
Riverside Mill Food Court, and guests are welcome to use it during operating hours.
Before I let you go, Robert, I want to share a bit of extra magic you'll find at Riverside this summer! As part of
Cool KIDS' Summer, Port Orleans - Riverside will be hosting scheduled character appearances, right there at the resort! If hanging out with your Disney pals is high up on your to-do list, make sure to check those schedules once you arrive in Walt Disney World.
