Hello! We have 16 days until our trip. We have the dining package for 4 adults and I've seen, a few times, where adults use a kids credit for quick service. Please explain the perk in doing that. Thank you!

Hey there, Jamie, and welcome back to planDisney!

The countdown to a Walt Disney World vacation is the most delicious kind of torture. First, you have a dream - you book the trip and make it official! Then suddenly, you wake up every day and find yourself wondering, when will my life begin? You know what's coming: the Best. Day. Ever! But waiting for it to get here? It's a tangled web of anticipation, excitement, and (if you're anything like me) a healthy dose of hyper-fixation.

Jamie, there are SO many things to look forward to on a Disney World vacation. But I'd be lying if I told you that food wasn't at the top of my list! Like you, my family will be using the Disney Dining Plan for our upcoming trip, and I couldn't be more excited. I just love knowing that our food is already paid for - so all we have to do is show up and enjoy!

Now, I confirmed with a Disney Cast Member that adults are allowed to use a quick-service credit to purchase a kids' meal. However, you will still be charged a full adult credit for your meal. While this could be useful if you're a selective eater or just need smaller portions, there's really no "perk" to using an adult credit to purchase a kids' meal. You'll have more options (and more food!) when you go with an adult meal instead.

Before I let you go, Jamie, I just have to mention my favorite quick-service restaurant in Disney World: Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue! I try to visit this Muppets-inspired eatery every time I visit EPCOT! Your visit comes just after the opening of the new Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets at Disney's Hollywood Studios. So if you want to propose a toast to The Electric Mayhem, Regal Eagle is the place to do it!

I hope this is helpful, and that your upcoming stay is nothing short of magical. If you have any other planning questions, you know where to find me right here at planDisney!

    See ya real soon,

    Allison
