Walt Disney World is pretty magical on its own, even without bells and whistles. But if there were ever a time to go above and beyond, I'd say this is it! Ted, my family has been celebrating special occasions in Disney World for a very long time (my parents even honeymooned there back in 1981!). So let's wave our magic wands and conjure up some ideas for an exceptional 40th anniversary!
For me, an extra-special occasion calls for extra-special
accommodations. I don't know if you're planning to stay at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, but I always recommend staying on property, especially for an occasion as momentous as this one. You'll get

complimentary theme park transportation. I find this really helpful when traveling with a group, since it allows everyone to come and go from the parks as they please. Disney resorts are so beautiful and well-themed that they really set the stage for romance - so choosing a special resort can go a long way to setting the tone for your vacation!
