My reservation is saying I need a new magic band...are the ones we have no longer valid? Also...we are staying at the Carribean, any idea what/if there's a coffee maker in room??

    Hiya Michelle,

Welcome to planDisney! I know that you are already on your way to your magical vacation, but let’s get your last-minute questions answered for you!

Great news, Michelle, you should not need to purchase a new MagicBand for your vacation (unless you want to). As long as a MagicBand is linked to your My Disney Experience account and active, then it can be used for every visit. This is the same for Key to the World cards that you have linked to your account. Let’s triple-check your account to make sure your MagicBands are still linked and active first. Do me a favor and log on to your My Disney Experience account using a computer. Once logged in, select “My MagicBands and Cards” from the drop-down menu under “My Disney Experience” in the top right. Keep scrolling once the page loads until you see “Manage MagicBands or Cards.” Under that header, you should see a Disney character and your name, as well as the same for anyone who is under your My Disney Experience account. Next to your name/character, you should see an arrow to click. Click it, and all of the MagicBands and Cards connected to you should appear. Match the ID number on the back of your MagicBand to the one on the screen, and make sure that it says the word “Active” underneath it. If it does, then you should be all set to go!

Now, about your second question, I hope that you have a magical vacation at Caribbean Beach Resort. I recently stayed there, and I loved being so close to the Disney Skyliner. When I stayed there earlier this spring, my room had a Cuisinart 2-cup pod machine. Each room comes with coffee pods, creamer, sugar (and other sweeteners), and tea, which are replenished throughout your stay. You are welcome to bring your own supplies if you would like!

I hope this was helpful, Michelle. Before I let you go, don’t forget that, depending on which building you are assigned to at Caribbean Beach Resort (or requested), you may be closer to the Skyliner station at Riviera Resort or the one at Caribbean Beach (since the resort is so expansive). I really enjoyed the walk to the Riviera station when I stayed in the Aruba buildings. It was a really scenic, less than 10-minute walk! Please come back and see us if you need anything else.

    Happy Planning,

    Ashley F.
