Tiana from PA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

We are staying at French Quarter Sept. 6-19, my sister is staying at Contemporary, we want to spend a day at the pool at our resort with her 2 children. Would they be able to get a day pass to come to our pool?

Welcome, Tiana, to planDisney! I just had dinner yesterday with Princess Tiana and some of her wish-maker friends at 1900 Park Fare, so answering your question today feels very appropriate! She even asked me if I was a chef, so I think she'd appreciate us cooking up an answer together today.

It's always fun to visit friends and family while staying at the Most Magical Place on Earth. Being a part of the planDisney family, there is typically always someone I know at the parks, and it's just a nice little surprise whether we are hanging out or just stopping each other for a quick hug. When in town, my dear friend Elaine always makes the effort to meet me and spend some time. Last time, we enjoyed some rides together at Magic Kingdom Park and even had some drinks and a bite at The Beak and Barrel. It just makes a special day even more so, and I'm so happy that you'll be there at a time when family is there too! I think Princess Tiana would agree that family has a way of adding a little extra spice to every Disney vacation.

Currently, day passes for pools at the Disney Resorts Collection Hotels are not available. In fact, the pools at your resort are for registered Guests at that specific hotel only. MagicBands or hotel key cards are required for entrance to each of these pools. While you are typically able to visit each other at each of your hotels by giving the last name of the lead Guest and room number to the security guard out front, just note that there are times when parking is restricted to only Guests staying at that hotel.

But just because you can't share a dip in the hotel pool doesn't mean you can't cook up some magical memories together elsewhere around the resort! When visiting together at your respective hotels, you can typically walk around, hang out for a bit in each other's rooms, enjoy a meal, do some shopping, and may even be able to enjoy a resort activity like a craft when available (often for a cost). If a pool day is what you're after, Guests staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel for check-in dates from May 26 to September 8, 2026, get a free water park visit on their check-in date. So if you both have the same check-in date during that time period, you can enjoy the pools, water slides, and other attractions together at one of these incredible water parks. I'd say that's the perfect recipe for a magical family memory!

Tiana, enjoy every magical moment of your trip. I hope you and your loved ones get to celebrate your own special spice together on Tiana's Bayou Adventure and throughout your vacation! If you have any other questions, I'm here for you!

    It's a joyful celebration,
    Matt
