Long time, no see Michaela! It's my absolute pleasure to welcome you back to planDisney. A three week holiday here in the States sounds perfect, especially if you are spending two of them at The Most Magical Place on Earth. There are a few ways to be mindful of your budget when planning a Disney vacation, so let's go over some helpful tips and money savvy advice to maximize the value of your vacation dollars.
One of the best ways to save some money on your trip is to stay at a Value Resort hotel that is part of the Disney Resorts Collection. You can cut down on transportation costs from off-site lodging by staying right in the middle of the action on Walt Disney World property. Be sure to take advantage of
complimentary transportation across the resort area in the form of buses, boats, the monorail, and the Disney Skyliner. These options will whisk you anywhere you want to go, including the theme parks, water parks, hotels, Disney Springs, and more. My top Value Resort recommendation is
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. This hotel boasts the largest resort pool on property and has fun and imaginative themeing that will wow guests of all ages. There's also a Skyliner station at this hotel which will make transportation a breeze, plus you can fit up to six members of the family in one of the available Family Suites. Talk about bang for your buck!
Next up: tickets. Since you'll be at Disney World for two weeks, you may want to explore purchasing an
Annual Pass, especially if most of your days will be spent at the theme parks. I looked up the price for a 5-day Park Hopper ticket for June 2027, and the cost was about half the price of an Annual Pass. Multiply that amount of tickets by two and you'd be close to the cost of an Annual Pass. Passholders with the Incredi-Pass enjoy complimentary theme park parking, discounts on select dining and merchandise, and are able to visit the parks as they wish with no blockout dates. Decide how many park days you'll need for these two weeks, as I only recommend this option if you are going to the parks for a majority of your visit. Just know the pricing and availability is subject to change, and all information was current at the time of my response.
Finally, check and see if you're eligible for the variety of
Special Offers that are posted on the Disney World website. These change every so often, so you might find a new way of saving money on your hotel stay, tickets, dining, or vacation package as a whole.
