I'm Elaine, a retired teacher from Kentucky. My husband and I spend winters in Florida, and our biggest passion is hitting the open road. We recently marked off our 50th state! I thrive on learning about different cultures and traditions, and I've found that people are more alike than different. It really is a small world after all! When I'm not on a travel adventure, I binge-watch television shows about Disney history or read science-fiction novels. I've been plant-based for several years, and I enjoy talking about all the delicious dining options at the Disney Parks. I'm also proud of my Appalachian heritage, which might explain why the "Mountain" attractions at Magic Kingdom Park are my absolute favorites. I'd love to help you plan your own Disney adventure, so stop by anytime!
About My Family
I met my Prince Charming in college, and we've been living happily ever after for over 35 years. We raised our only son in a Florida beach town where I taught middle school. When our son was young, my parents often joined the three of us on visits to our favorite place, Walt Disney World Resort. There was nothing like watching our little guy act tough around the villains and conquer his fears on the thrill attractions. Now that we're empty-nesters, we enjoy taking our camper to explore the great wide somewhere, but we always seem to end up back at Disney. Our son joins us occasionally, but I mostly visit the theme parks with my husband and other couples now. Grown-up Disney visits are just as magical, and we love exploring the nightlife and slower pace of those trips. No matter what stage of life you're in, I've found there's nothing like making magical memories with family and friends on a Disney vacation.
About My Disney Experience
When I saw my mom wiping tears from her eyes the first time she saw Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland Park, seven-year-old me knew that Disney vacations were pure magic. As a young married couple, my husband and I discovered the wonder of Walt Disney World Resort together, and we were thrilled to start making amazing memories with our son. Although I've been visiting the parks for over 25 years, I'm still discovering new ways to be enchanted. On a recent solo visit to Magic Kingdom Park, I spontaneously hopped on the horse-drawn trolley for the first time. The Dapper Dans quartet serenaded us from the back row as our horse clopped up Main Street, USA. When Cinderella Castle came into view, the entire trolley erupted into cheers. I wiped away a tear in that emotional moment and felt my mom's spirit beside me. I'll always cherish every Disney memory, and I would be honored to help you create some magical memories for yourself.
