The first thing I always recommend to people celebrating a birthday is to pick up a celebration button from the front desk of your resort hotel. This is the number one way to communicate to Cast Members and fellow guests that it's your special day! I proudly wore one of these buttons on my 18th birthday, and it was so great to get shout-outs and well wishes all day long.
Next, you can check out the variety of in-room gifts and snacks that are available from
Magical Floral & Gifts. You can look at the birthday packages they have available or choose from the selection of treats, candy, flowers, and more. These items can be delivered to the front desk of your resort for pickup or directly to the door of your room so long as you are "home" to receive it.
Have you made your advance dining reservations yet? You can book many restaurants 60 days ahead of your visit, just visit the
Disney World Dining page to learn more. Since you are staying onsite at a Disney Resort hotel, you'll be able to book dining for the length of your stay. There are a number of restaurants that will allow you to order a
Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake as part of your dining experience, and I can't think of a better way to celebrate with friends and family than with this iconic dessert. I'd go with the dark chocolate flavor with "Happy Birthday" written on the ears.
Finally,
Art of Animation is the perfect place for your birthday celebration. You'll see larger than life decor from some of Disney and Pixar's most beloved movies, including The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and Cars. Speaking of Nemo and his pals, be sure to take a dip in the Big Blue Pool, the largest resort pool in all of Walt Disney World. After that, you can spend the evening with your travel party enjoying a movie under the stars or taking a relaxing ride on the
Disney Skyliner. Your resort has so much to do and see, and it's a wonderful place to kick off another year of adventures.
