Hi Gary, and welcome to planDisney! The Grand Floridian is such a magical place to stay, from eating breakfast with Cinderella at
1900 Park Fare to watching
Happily Ever After from the marina or beach (and actually, I love the view from the
Narcoossee’s balcony if you’re there for dinner!). So let’s chat about parking so you’re all set for your visit.
Disney resort hotel guests get so many
perks, including complimentary self-parking! Since you’re staying at the Grand Floridian, you’ll get complimentary overnight self-parking there, as well as included standard parking at the theme parks.
There are also a couple of upgrades available if you’re looking for more convenient options. At the Grand Floridian, there’s valet service, which currently costs $42 per night (plus tax). And at the theme parks, there’s preferred parking, which is closer to the theme park entrances (this is luxurious after a long park day!). Since standard parking is already included for Disney resort hotel guests, you’d just have to pay the difference between standard and preferred parking. Currently, that’s $15 to $25 per day, depending on the day. You can finding the latest parking information and fees on the
Disney World Parking page.
Once I pass through those magical Walt Disney World gates, I actually love to leave the driving to Mickey. From the Grand Floridian, there’s
complimentary transportation to the theme parks. You can take the
monorail or
boat to Magic Kingdom (and sometimes I even walk from the Grand Floridian!), the monorail to Epcot, and
buses to Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.
Before I go, I wanted to point out the Activities Schedule on the
Grand Floridian’s Recreation page. There are lots of fun happenings going on throughout the week, including a Storytime Yoga Class, Campfire, and Nighttime Trivia at the pool! I also love
renting a pontoon boat from Captain’s Shipyard Boat Rentals to explore the waterways around Magic Kingdom. It’s such a fun way to see Cinderella Castle from a different perspective and take a relaxing break from the theme parks.
I’m wishing you a pixie-dusted stay at the Grand Floridian this week! And if you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
