Hi Anna, and welcome back to planDisney! One of the many things I love about the
BoardWalk Villas is the variety of dining options that are just a short walk or Skyliner ride away. So I’d be happy to share some dinner ideas to kick off your magical vacation!
If you walk around Crescent Lake to the
Beach Club Resort, you’ll find a throwback to a 1950s soda shop, complete with its own jukebox.
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is such a fun spot for classic comfort food, like burgers, tots, and chili. And you can’t come here without getting the Kitchen Sink, an epic ice cream sundae that’s designed for four people to share. It features multiple ice cream flavors, a variety of toppings, and brownies. And the Cast Members bring out the dish with lots of fanfare, getting the whole restaurant in on the cheering!
Now, if you’re up for a little adventure, my family loves to ride the
Skyliner on our arrival day. It feels like you’ve gone on an attraction without stepping foot into the parks! And one of our favorite hidden gems is just one stop away from the EPCOT Skyliner station. If you get off at
Riviera Resort, you can walk along Barefoot Bay to
Sebastian’s Bistro at
Caribbean Beach Resort. This restaurant features a family-style meal with an incredible spread of Latin and Caribbean-inspired dishes. The Buttery House-baked Pull-apart Rolls, Chili-Rubbed Beef with Chimichurri, and House-made Coconut-Pineapple Bread Pudding are some of my favorites!
And if you want to stay a little closer to your room,
The Cake Bake Shop is right on the
BoardWalk and has more of an elevated, whimsical vibe inside. There’s something for everyone on the menu, from Chicken Tenders to Steak Frites Au Poivre. And I always have to start with the Pesto Burrata appetizer! To end the meal, my family likes to order a couple of their famous cakes to split. Even if you don’t eat here, you can stop by the Cake Bake Shop Bakery next door for a sweet treat on the way back to the BoardWalk Villas!
I hope you have the best visit ever at Disney World with your ‘ohana! And, if you have any other questions in the meantime, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
