When is the last night for the Disneyland Paint the Night parade in August 2026?

Hi Michael! Welcome to planDisney! As a fellow Paint the Night fan, I completely understand why you're keeping a close eye on its schedule. Few experiences capture the energy and excitement of Disneyland after dark quite like seeing those illuminated floats glide through the park while the music echoes down the parade route.

According to the information currently shared by Disneyland Resort, August 20 will be the final scheduled performance date for both Paint the Night and Wondrous Journeys before the resort transitions into its Halloween Time season on August 21. If seeing either of these spectacular nighttime offerings is a priority for your visit, I would highly recommend planning your trip on or before August 20.

Now let's talk about viewing locations, because where you watch can make a huge difference in your experience!

My favorite viewing location is directly across from the entrance to "it's a small world." This area offers one of the best combinations of convenience and entertainment value in Disneyland. You'll be able to enjoy the first performance of Paint the Night and then remain in the same general area for Wondrous Journeys afterward. That's a rare opportunity in a park where many Guests spend the evening moving between viewing locations.

An additional benefit is that this area serves as one of the premier viewing spots for Tapestry of Happiness. Watching the projections dance across the iconic "it's a small world" façade while celebrating Disneyland's rich history has become one of my favorite experiences during the Disneyland Resort 70th Anniversary Celebration. Between the parade, projections, and nighttime atmosphere, this corner of Fantasyland feels especially magical after sunset.

My Q-Tip is to arrive at your chosen viewing location at least 45 to 60 minutes before the first Paint the Night performance, particularly on weekends or during busy travel periods. The area near "it's a small world" is popular for good reason, and arriving early can help you secure a comfortable viewing spot.

Michael, the good news is that there are several wonderful places to experience these nighttime spectaculars. Whether you're watching the glowing floats pass by "it's a small world" or enjoying the sights and sounds along Main Street, U.S.A., you're in for an unforgettable Disneyland evening. If you have additional questions about Paint the Night or planning your Disneyland visit, please stop by and visit us again here at planDisney. We'd be delighted to help!

May your Disneyland night be filled with dazzling lights, astounding musical sounds, and all the wonder that makes Paint the Night so special!
