I'd be happy to help clarify how the Special Anaheim Resident Ticket offer works.
Unfortunately, your friend would also need to qualify for the
Special Anaheim Resident Ticket offer. Eligibility is limited to guests who reside within ZIP codes 92801 through 92809, 92812, 92814 through 92817, 92825, 92850, and 92899. Guests purchasing and using these tickets must present a valid government-issued photo ID showing an eligible Anaheim ZIP code both when purchasing the ticket and again when entering the Disneyland Resort. Even if you are accompanying your friend and can verify your own residency, your friend's eligibility is determined by their own place of residence. If they are unable to present identification with one of the qualifying ZIP codes, they would not be able to use an Anaheim Resident Ticket.
While I know that's probably not the answer you were hoping for, there are often other ways to save on a visit together. I recommend checking both the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Offers & Discounts page on the Disneyland website throughout the year. Disneyland Resort frequently introduces special ticket promotions for a variety of guests, and it's always worth seeing what may be available as your visit approaches.
Since you're a
Magic Key holder, you'll also be able to enjoy your usual Magic Key benefits during your visit, making it easy to spend the day with your friend even if they're using a different type of admission. One of my favorite parts of visiting with first-time or infrequent guests is showing them some of the hidden details throughout the parks, whether that's exploring the charming corners of New Orleans Square, taking in the atmosphere of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, or ending the evening with a nighttime spectacular. Those shared moments are often the most memorable.
