Welcome to planDisney, Josephine! There’s nothing quite like ending a Disneyland day with nighttime entertainment, especially during
Disneyland's 70th Anniversary Celebration. Between fireworks, projections, parades, and nighttime spectaculars, the resort is absolutely glowing this summer.
I checked the Daily Events Schedule on the Disneyland website, and I have great news! Wondrous Journeys with fireworks is currently scheduled for
May 25,
26, and
27, weather permitting. That includes the castle projections on Sleeping Beauty Castle along with fireworks on select nights.
It’s always important to remember that nighttime entertainment can change due to weather or operational needs. If fireworks are canceled,
Wondrous Journeys will often still be presented as a projection-only experience, and it is still absolutely worth watching. The music, animation, and effects across
Main Street, U.S.A., Sleeping Beauty Castle, “
it’s a small world,” and the Rivers of America are beautiful on their own.
And the nighttime fun doesn’t stop there!
Paint the Night is also scheduled during the celebration, bringing glowing floats, energetic music, and plenty of Disney nostalgia along the parade route. My family always finds ourselves humming “When Can We Do This Again?” long after the parade ends.
Over at Disney California Adventure Park,
World of Color Happiness! continues the celebration on Paradise Bay with fountains, projections, music, and moments inspired by Disney and Pixar stories. If you have time afterward, keep an eye on Carthay Circle Theatre as well. The lighting package there in the evening adds such a fun atmosphere to
Buena Vista Street.
Josephine, I hope you have an incredible visit filled with late-night snacks, dazzling entertainment, and unforgettable Disneyland memories. If more questions come up before your trip, please stop by planDisney again.
Enjoy every sparkling moment of your Disney nights!
