We normally stay at Pixar and love using the resort guest entrance into Cal. Adventure from GCR. We are considering the Disneyland hotel this time but are hesitant to not have the perk. Can you confirm whether all Disney hotel guests can use that entrance?

Hi Jackie! Welcome to planDisney. Your trip will be here before you know it, and I’d be happy to help you sort through the details as you decide between these two fantastic Disneyland Resort hotels.

I have great news for you: guests staying at any of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels, including the Disneyland Hotel, may use the Disney California Adventure Park entrance located inside the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. So even if you decide to switch from Pixar Place Hotel, you’ll still be able to take advantage of that convenient entrance into Disney California Adventure. To enter through the Grand Californian entrance, you’ll need valid theme park admission and a park reservation for Disney California Adventure that day. It’s also good to know that this entrance may be especially busy, such as early morning rope drop or during events like Oogie Boogie Bash.

Since you’re considering the Disneyland Hotel, I also wanted to mention a few reasons many guests absolutely love staying there. The hotel has such a relaxed classic Disneyland atmosphere, and the grounds are filled with beautiful details celebrating Disneyland history. One of my favorite quiet spots is the gazebo tucked near the Adventureland and Frontierland Towers. It’s a peaceful place to relax for a few minutes before heading back into the parks.

The pools are another highlight. The Monorail Pool area is especially fun, with waterslides inspired by the original Disneyland Monorail, while the D-Ticket Pool offers a slightly calmer atmosphere for relaxing midday breaks. And of course, Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar is always worth a visit for its immersive theming, fun surprises, and delicious food and drinks. You’ll also still have easy access to the Downtown Disney District from the Disneyland Hotel, making it simple to grab a meal, browse the shops, or enjoy live entertainment in the evenings.

Jackie, I hope this helps you feel even more confident about your hotel decision. No matter which Disneyland Resort Hotel you choose, you’ll be surrounded by that special Disney atmosphere from the moment you wake up each morning.
