Hello there Maci!
Welcome to planDisney. It's so nice to "sea" you here today. I'm excited to hear about your family's upcoming sailing and I think it's great that your parents are joining the fun. The more the merrier, I say! I just know you are all sure to make many magical memories together.
As Silver Castaway Club members your family will be
eligible to check-in 33 days prior to your sailing. However, although your reservations are linked your parents will not be able to
check in as first-time cruisers until 30 days prior to sailing. I reached out to a Cast Member who confirmed that there needs to be at least one Silver Castaway Club member registered in each stateroom in order to complete the check-in process together. You are welcome to call Disney Cruise Line and inquire about swapping guests between staterooms if it's important that you complete the check-in process at the same time. I can't guarantee they will be able to make the change but it never hurts to ask.
While you are completing the check-in process you will be
prompted to select a Port Arrival Time (PAT). You should be able to make changes to your assigned time, subject to availability, up until the day prior to embarkation. If your parents end up with a much later arrival time you can try to adjust your family's to be closer to your parent's assigned window. I can understand wanting to be there as your parents step aboard for the very first time so I'm hopeful all the timing works out in your favor.
Be sure to have your parents download the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App before you set sail so you can easily keep in touch with each other during the cruise. I especially love the adorable character emojis in the app's chat feature!
Maci, if you have additional questions about your specific reservation you can
reach out to a Cast Member by phone for further assistance. You are also always welcome to sail right back here for more recommendations and planning tips as you count down to your voyage.
Magic and memories,
Amy
