Ahoy Jean!
Thanks for sailing by planDisney. It's always nice to "sea" a new face. I'm happy to help as you prepare for your magical adventure this weekend.
If you've pre-ordered
DisneyBand+ and have already received them you'll want to open the packaging and make sure your bands are fully charged before you
link them to your Disney Cruise Line account. The battery life will vary depending on your individual usage but a
fully charged band that is illuminated with a green ring should last between 1-3 days. When I use my MagicBand+ for my Disney Parks visits I just make a habit of charging my band and my phone every night while I rest up for the next day's adventures. Pro tip- your MagicBand+ can be used on eligible Disney Cruise Line itineraries and your
DisneyBand+ can be used at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort after your sailing.
DisneyBand+ technology was not yet available on our
Disney Wish sailing earlier this year, but I'm really looking forward to using it on my next itinerary. I love the convenience of being able to make purchases or open my Stateroom door with a quick hands-free tap. My pal Prince recently completed a Disney Cruise Line itinerary and said the DisneyBand+ interactive features made his cruise experience even more fun!
If you are waiting until you are aboard the ship to purchase a DisneyBand+, you'll also need to charge your band completely before first use. The bands often come with a small charge but will need to be fully charged to enjoy full functionality.
I hope this was helpful Jean. If we can offer any additional last-minute tips as you prepare for your cruise please stop back and let us know.
Bon voyage!
Amy
