So excited for our 2025 WDW trip! We’re staying at Port Orleans French Quarter at the end of June - will all the rooms be refurbished by then? Can I contact the resort before my trip to request a 3rd floor room in a specific block?

Welcome to planDisney, Hannah! So happy you are visiting us again. I can understand why you're getting very excited for that summer vacation at Walt Disney World. There's nothing better than a Disney Countdown, and yours is getting very close! Ka-chow!

I've stayed at Port Orleans Riverside once, and while we were there I took a stroll over to Port Orleans French Quarter. You know, to explore and stuff. Ok, mostly to eat delicious beignets. Mmmmm... Mickey beignets!! These Port Orleans resort areas are so lush and beautiful! I love all the paths along waterways, and one of my favorite things we did while staying there was rent a surrey bike to tour the grounds a bit. You're going to absolutely love it!

When checking the plan for Guest Room refurbishments at Port Orleans French Quarter, the current target date is that these will take place "through Spring 2025". So I'm fairly certain that by the time of your June visit, the room refurbish should be complete. It's always exciting to have a fresh layer of pixie dust at your Disney Resort!

To answer your other question, yes you can contact Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and make a specific room request. There are some room preference options included during your online check-in process, and I believe preferred floor is one of them. However, if you have something more specific like a certain building number you would like, just give them a call and they can make a note on your reservation for you. Please keep in mind, your room requests are not guaranteed but Cast Members will do their best to accommodate your preference. I've generally had success with requesting a specific room building (as long as it matches the room category of our reservation), especially if I'm flexible and do not need an early check-in.

I hope this helps Hannah, and that you have an absolutely wonderful time here at the Most Magical Place on Earth!

    Sending pixie dust to you,
    Tami
