About Me

Hello! I'm Tami, from the beautiful Rocky Mountain state of Colorado. When I'm not planning my family’s next travel or outdoor adventure, I work for a technology consulting firm doing SQL / data platform development and project management. Yes, I'm quite the computer nerd... but I like to think I hide it well! Helping people makes me happy, and I enjoy creative hobbies like photography and knitting. I love camping, hiking, and exploring exciting travel destinations, but I’m equally content curled up at home with my dogs and a good book.

I’m a wife and mom to two teenagers who are growing up way too fast, which makes me even more grateful for all the Walt Disney World family vacation memories we have made throughout the years. I am that (crazy!) uber planner who creates multiple tab spreadsheets with color-coded highlights to track all the practically perfect details for our next Disney trip. Having a magical countdown with your kiddos is half the fun! Now I get to help you maximize the pixie-dust on your vacation, too!

About My Family

My husband and I met at a convention in Colorado over 20 years ago, and I quickly figured out I had met the mountain-loving man of my dreams. He serves as an Airport Operations Manager and firefighter for ARFF (Airport Rescue and Firefighting), and is always willing to go with the flow when it comes to my enthusiastic travel planning. My teenagers are five years apart in age but are amazing friends, and share their love of Disney. My daughter is my ride or die, cry together during fireworks, rope-drop-until-close Disney kindred spirit! My younger son has reached the age where he’s up for any thrill ride, and I’m totally here for it.

For my family, “the mountains are calling, and I must go” equally represents our surrounding Colorado beauty, and our love of blasting off on Space Mountain!  Adventure is out there, and we embrace it every chance we get.

When it comes to planning your family's trip, I'm eager to help! And I'm happy to share tips on navigating Walt Disney World plans when your kids have a big age gap or are in varying life stages, with different interests. With a little creativity, we even navigated a multiple year stretch where our timid child refused to experience ANY dark attractions, even mild ones in Fantasyland. There's always fun to be had and magical memories to be made at a Disney resort, no matter your age or preferences!

About My Disney Experience

I grew up in a small town in South Dakota, and my mom tells the story of wishing they had been able to take my brother and I to Walt Disney World when we were younger. Aah, but the force was strong with me. And although I was age 13 on our first family trip to Disney World... I proudly rocked my first pair of Mickey ears, every single day. My family teases me that I've been wearing them ever since! I distinctly remember the impression EPCOT made on me as a young teenager, broadening my horizons to all that travel and imagination could bring into my life. What a blessing! A life-long passion for all things Disney was born. Watching Happily Ever After fireworks over Cinderella Castle still brings me tears of joy, every time!

Once I had a family of my own, a wonderful new era of Disney World vacations began. Since my kids were born, we've taken annual trips to Walt Disney World Resort as a family. Sometimes with the grandparents in tow, too! RunDisney even inspired this non-runner to train for my first half marathon, which was a multi-generation girls trip packed with wonderful core memories. I understand how critical selecting perfect dates, taking advantage of special offers, having park touring strategies, and including magical touches like a character dining reservation can contribute to the best possible Disney vacation for your family. I'd love to help you make some magical memories!
