Hello there David!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for being our guest today. I'm happy to hear you're planning a magical stay at Walt Disney World resort, and have a strategy in place to grab your favorite dining reservations well in advance. Well played!
You are correct that once your 60 day prior-to-arrival date arrives, as a
Disney Resort guest you'll be allowed to make
advance dining reservations for the duration of your stay. This is a great perk, and will allow you to have an excellent selection. As you mentioned your reservations may include even up to 10 additional days, if that is the length of your resort stay. And
hakuna matata... because you can absolutely include your 2 off-site friends, and make a reservation in your name for all 4 of you to dine together. Currently, guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort may book advance dining reservations and include friends and family who are not part of your resort reservation.
Disney's Port Orleans Resorts are both so beautiful, with lush peaceful grounds. Whether you choose Riverside or French Quarter - you're going to love it! My husband and I stayed in a
"Royal Guest Room" at Port Orleans Riverside to celebrate our 10th anniversary, and one afternoon we
rented a surrey bike to ride around the resort and explore the lovely waterways. It was such a magical experience! I hope you get to enjoy every moment of your time there. And don't forget to grab some signature beignets!
Wishing you the best trip ever, David! Please
visit me again at planDisney if I can assist you with any dining recommendations, itinerary advice, or other questions... I love sprinkling pixie dust on Disney vacation plans.
Have a magical day!
Tami
