Hey there, Justin!
I hope you had a wonderful Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It’s great to hear that you purchased
Memory Maker for your visit, as photos are always my favorite vacation souvenir! Let’s talk through the download process so you can save and share all those special memories.
If you were the lead guest on the reservation and logged in to your My Disney Experience account when you booked your vacation package, your Memory Maker purchase should have linked automatically. If not, no worries! You can
link it manually here.
The images and videos captured during your visit should appear in your account’s Photo Gallery if you used a MagicBand, Disney PhotoPass card, or Disney Magic Mobile Pass to link them throughout your visit. You can still add any photo cards you may have received from Disney PhotoPass photographers to your account from home. I
detailed that process for another guest here, along with some instructions for locating missing photos.
Once everything is where it needs to be, you can
view your images online or through the
My Disney Experience app. From the app, click the feature menu (≡) and scroll down a bit to "Photo Gallery" under the Disney PhotoPass header. I just went to double-check my own photos and had a moment of panic when my gallery appeared empty. After a quick app refresh, I went back to the app's homepage and scrolled past the park hours and Cool KIDS' Summer banner to view the last image captured. I clicked the "My Photos" link here, and it refreshed my full gallery. I'd give that a try if your photo page is blank. Sometimes a technical glitch is the culprit.
Your images may appear with a watermark until you activate your Memory Maker purchase. To activate, click on a single image, then “Download” on the bar below. This should prompt you through the activation process to remove watermarks. If you're only seeing the option to "Buy Now," be sure you're viewing the images from the lead guest's account. If you've done all this and are still having trouble, I recommend contacting a
Disney PhotoPass Support Cast Member by phone for assistance. They can see your account details and troubleshoot any issues.
Your images are available to download from the app, one at a time, but I prefer downloading the full gallery at once online. To do so,
hover over the "My Disney Experience" menu header and click "My Photos." Click the button to "View Gallery," sign in, and then hover over the top left corner on the first image to display a small check box. Check that, and a download button will appear at the top of the screen with an option to "Select all visible media" just below. Check that box to batch download your full gallery. I'd also recommend toggling the option to "Add Family & Friends Photos" if you visited with a group. Multiple zip files may appear depending on how many photos you posed for during your visit. Be sure to save all your memories before they expire 45 days from the date of capture.
I hope this helped, Justin! Please come back and see us again with any additional questions.
Magic and memories,
Amy
