Hi Beth, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
Animal Kingdom Lodge and
Wilderness Lodge are two of my favorite Disney Resort hotels with their beautifully themed lobbies. You really feel transported to an African savanna and a national park lodge in the Pacific Northwest!
When I was at those two resorts in December, Animal Kingdom Lodge had a Disney Family Fitness Fun class on Tuesdays at 9:00 A.M., where you can sing and dance to Lion King tunes, and Wilderness Lodge had a Storytime Yoga class on Fridays at 9:00 A.M., where you can stretch and enjoy Disney stories. However, the offerings can change regularly so you’ll have to check the activity schedule in the resort lobby to confirm the current date and time. When I check in, I like to take a picture of the schedule on my phone to have it handy during my stay!
You can also find yoga classes during some
runDisney race weekends. These specially ticketed events take place inside the theme parks before regular guests arrive! I did one at Disneyland last year and it was so special stretching and being in total zen mode right in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle! It looks like you might just miss the
runDisney Springtime Surprise Yoga class on April 3, 2025 in
Hollywood Studios, but keep an eye on the runDisney website for future yoga events!
Some of my other favorite ways to exercise while I’m at Disney World include renting a
Surrey bike and running on the many
jogging paths. Running through the campsite loops at
Fort Wilderness is really fun since many guests decorate their sites. And I love the path at
Grand Floridian and the
Polynesian that runs alongside Seven Seas Lagoon. Every mile is magic when you get such a beautiful view of Cinderella Castle!
I hope you have a happy and healthy visit to Disney World next month! And if you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
