Hi Carla, and welcome back to planDisney! Animal Kingdom is my favorite theme park at Disney World with its unique animal experiences, authentically themed lands, fun entertainment, and delicious food.
I thought you might be asking about ways to save time in line with Lightning Lane Passes. I’m happy to talk you through the different options! If you were referring to something else, definitely submit another question to planDisney. We would love to get you the information you need to plan a magical day at Animal Kingdom!
There are three types of Lightning Lane Passes you can use to bypass the standby queue at Animal Kingdom—
Multi Pass,
Single Pass, and
Premiere Pass.
Lightning Lane Multi Pass lets you pre-book three
Lightning Lane attractions with specific return times. Once you scan into your first Lightning Lane entrance, you can go ahead and book another attraction, as long as there’s availability. You can repeat this process throughout the day, holding up to three at a time.
Lightning Lane Single Pass is purchased for a specific attraction and return time for the most popular rides in each park. At Animal Kingdom, this applies to
Flight of Passage, which isn’t available on Multi Pass.
Lightning Lane Premiere Pass is the most flexible option. It’s purchased for a specific theme park and gives you one-time entry to
all Lightning Lane attractions, whether they fall under Single Pass or Multi Pass. There are no return times, so you can show up to each attraction at any time during regular park hours that day. It’s really convenient not to worry about keeping track of return times or booking your next Lightning Lane selection!
The price for these passes varies by type of Lightning Lane, theme park, and date. Lightning Lane Passes for May aren’t available to purchase yet, but you can look at March prices to get an idea of the cost (just keep in mind prices change significantly from day to day). In the
My Disney Experience app, go to ☰ in the lower right corner and select Lightning Lane Passes. Here you’ll see buttons to purchase each of the three passes. Pressing the button brings up a calendar where you can choose the date and park. Once you make your selections, you’ll see the price for that day. I’d recommend checking a few different days to get a good picture of the potential cost.
While Animal Kingdom is home to my favorite attraction, Flight of Passage, this park is so much more than just the rides! My top must-do is
Festival of the Lion King, where our favorite songs are brought to life with incredible singing, dancing, and costumes. It’s just absolute perfection! And I also love
Winged Encounters, a short show starring an amazing flock of macaws near the Tree of Life.
I hope you have a day filled with adventure at Animal Kingdom! If you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to visit us again at planDisney.
