Aloha and welcome to planDisney, Scott!
It sounds like you have a stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort awaiting you on
the line where the sky meets the sea, and I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't a little jealous. Much like Moana and the open sea, I've felt the call of the Polynesian since I was a little girl headed to Magic Kingdom Park aboard the Walt Disney World Resort Monorail.
Speaking of the monorail, it's been so neat to have a bird's eye view of the
new Island Tower's construction from the monorail during my family's recent magical vacations, and now that it's officially welcoming Guests, I can't wait to check it out from the ground. Some fellow panelists have stayed and dined there since its opening, and have nothing but good things to say about its theming and amenities. My pal
Donyell was even able to confirm with a Cast Member that the Island Tower's fitness center is currently available for use by Guests of both
Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows and
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. She even reported that there was refreshing coconut water available for gym-goers! Of course, since the Island Tower just opened, it's important to keep in mind that policies such as these are always subject to change, so I suggest checking directly with a Polynesian Resort Cast Member upon arrival as they will have the most up-to-date information.
In addition to the fitness center, my good friend
Jennifer would want you to be sure to check out
Wailulu Bar & Grill, the newest casual dining restaurant at the Polynesian, during your visit. Her family is made up of multi-generational Mouseketeers and there was something for everyone to enjoy!
I hope this was helpful, Scott, and that you have an incredible stay at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! If you're in need of further assistance as you finalize your plans, you're welcome to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
