I am staying in the Polynesian Village resort and hoping to use a fitness center whilst there. Am I right in thinking that guests of the Polynesian Village resort have access to the Grand Floridian fitness center?

Well hello there, Kirsty! It's so great to see you back here at planDisney.

Now, I know a lot about the Walt Disney World Resort, but admittedly, I don't know everything. I mean, how could you? The place is HUGE! So every once in a while, I learn something new. And I have to thank you for helping me learn something brand new today! I can officially say I was today years old when I learned that Disney's Polynesian Village Resort does not have its own fitness center! Of course, that's probably because when I'm at the resort, I don't exercise except for all of the steps I get from walking from place to place. So kudos to you for sticking to your fitness routine while on vacation!

At this time, when you are staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, you are welcome to hop on the Walt Disney World Monorail to Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa to use their health club. But you may want to keep checking back with the Disney Parks Blog in case the new Island Tower at Disney's Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, opening in December of 2024, has a fitness center that Guests at the resort will be able to use. This has not been mentioned and I have no insider information, but you never know! Even if a fitness center isn't included, the pictures of the lobby and the reveal of the rooms at this new tower are jaw-dropping! Do I need more Disney Vacation Club points? Maybe!

Have you ever considered enrolling in a runDisney race? While I'm an avid swimmer and running isn't usually my thing, I have considered registering for a race. It's safe to say that it's on my Disney Bucket List! Yes, I'm more interested in the carb-loading before the race (and after; that's a thing, right?), but each race looks like it provides such a unique experience and views of the theme parks you usually wouldn't get. Plus, knowing a bunch of people who repeatedly enroll in these races, I can tell it's a supportive and, well, magical community.

Kirsty, I hope you meet all of your fitness goals while on vacation and make those advanced dining reservations to fuel you up and keep you going! If you have any other questions, I'd be happy to answer them.

They can't order you to stop dreaming,
    Matt
