Welcome to planDisney, Shannon! There's something extra special about planning a Disneyland Resort vacation, and September is one of my favorite times to visit. With
Halloween Time typically in full swing, it's a season filled with festive decorations, seasonal treats, and plenty of not-so-spooky fun. I'd be delighted to help you get your planning started.
While it's still a little early to book a September 2027 vacation, now is a great time to begin thinking ahead.
Disneyland Resort vacation packages have typically become available around August of the year before travel, so August 2026 is a good time to start watching for booking announcements. Disney hasn't shared an official release date yet, but
the Disney Parks Blog is an excellent place to stay up to date on vacation package availability, entertainment news, and any exciting additions that may be planned for your visit.
When it comes to
theme park tickets, Disneyland Resort has historically released them up to 180 days in advance, although that timing can change. For a September 2027 trip, I'd begin checking for ticket availability around March 2027. The Disneyland website is always the best resource for the latest ticket options as they become available.
As your vacation gets closer, you may also want to consider purchasing
Lightning Lane Multi Pass. It's a fantastic way to make the most of your park day by reserving return times for select attractions, giving you more flexibility to enjoy entertainment, dining, shopping, or simply soak in the atmosphere between experiences. You can purchase Multi Pass before your visit or after entering the park and manage all of your selections right from the
Disneyland app.
My family has found Lightning Lane Multi Pass especially helpful during busy seasons like Halloween Time. It gives us more opportunities to experience favorite attractions like Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain while still leaving room to enjoy seasonal snacks, entertainment, and all of the little details that make this time of year so memorable.
Shannon, I hope this gives you a helpful head start as you begin planning your September 2027 vacation. As your trip gets closer and more details are announced, please visit us again here at planDisney. We'd love to help you put the finishing touches on your magical getaway.
Have a frightfully fun countdown to your Disneyland Resort adventure!
