Hi Jacqueline! Welcome to planDisney. Hi Jacqueline! Welcome to planDisney. I'm happy to help share some options that can make your visit to the Disneyland Resort both magical and as comfortable as possible.
The
Disability Access Service (DAS) is designed for Guests who have difficulty tolerating a traditional queue environment due to a developmental disability or similar condition (for example, autism). Because of that, DAS is generally not offered for conditions where the primary challenge is standing or walking. However, there are several
alternatives that may help Guests who have difficulty standing for extended periods.
Most of the attraction queues at Disneyland Resort are able to be accessed by Guests using mobility devices. This means you can
rent an ECV and remain seated in your scooter with your party while waiting, rather than needing to stand in the line. Using an ECV can make a big difference in your comfort throughout the day. If this option would meet your needs, you can find ECV rentals in the Esplanade outside the park gates.
Also, you may want to stop by
Guest Relations or speak with a Cast Member at the first attraction you visit so they can help guide you on which attractions have the most accessible entrances. They may also be able to talk you through how a specific queue works.
Finally, as you plan your park days, I would also encourage you to build intentional rest breaks into your day. The Disneyland Resort has several peaceful spots that are perfect for slowing down and recharging for a bit. In Frontierland, the shaded seating area near the Stage Door Café offers relaxing views of the Rivers of America. And in Disney California Adventure, the benches tucked near Grizzly River Run offer a peaceful forest atmosphere that feels wonderfully removed from the hustle and bustle of the day.
Jacqueline, I hope this helps you feel more prepared and supported for your visit. With a little planning and the right approach, I hope you'll be able to enjoy a magical and memorable visit. If you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at planDisney.
Wishing you a smooth, comfortable visit!
