Upgrading your eligible standard admission ticket should be easy! I can walk you through how to go about doing it in the
Disneyland mobile app, which will also be a handy tool for your upcoming visit. Please note, however, there are a few caveats. The instructions you've run across have advised you to do this before midnight on the last day of use on your ticket because that's when your ticket will become invalid, and you must upgrade your ticket while it is still valid! You also must have already used your ticket. That means, yes, you will need to be there, but it doesn't mean you can't complete the upgrade quickly on the app after entering the park on your first day.
In the app, tap the three-bar menu on the lower right side of your device's screen. Select the "My Tickets & Passes" tile. You should see your linked tickets on the next page. Select the tickets you would like to upgrade and select "Upgrade to a Magic Key Pass." You'll follow the prompts from this point. You'll apply the value of your current ticket toward the purchase of your preferred key. Methods of payment include credit, debit, and Disney Gift Cards. Prices are subject to change, and Magic Keys may be temporarily unavailable, as they are popular and sales are sometimes paused.
Since you can upgrade as soon as you've scanned in, your discounts and perks will become active at that point. You won't miss out on the benefits of being a Magic Key holder. I hope that's good news! Just remember to read through the

In the meantime, you're almost within the 60-day window for booking dining reservations and immersive activities like Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park. If you want to secure your spot at a popular dining location or at an exciting activity, you'll want to do so as soon as possible, and many locations allow Guests to book starting 60 days before their park day. Make a reminder in your mobile device, since availability isn't guaranteed.
