If this is your first trip to the Disneyland Resort, you're in for a treat! We're a family that's enjoyed both Florida and California parks for years, and we keep coming back because of the unique offerings. Be sure to prioritize those Attractions and Entertainment that you currently won't find in Florida, like Indiana Jones Adventure in Adventureland and the Paint the Night Parade in Disneyland Park. But don't skip classics like Pirates of the Caribbean in nearby New Orleans Square. You'll find some iconic Attractions to be significantly different from their Florida counterparts. There's so much to explore!
One thing you can count on is your
MagicBand+! A band that's been used at the Walt Disney World Resort can also be used by that Guest at the Disneyland Resort. At this time, MagicBand+ can be used to scan into the parks, scan into Lightning Lane Entrances, and for enhanced immersive experiences on certain Attractions. You won't be able to pay with your band or unlock your Disneyland Resort Hotel room, however. Some things do operate a little differently.
You'll want to
set up your band in the
Disneyland mobile app so you're ready to go on your first park day. Guests without a band can also scan into the parks and their Lightning Lane Entrances using the app. It's a super handy tool for your park day! So even if you forget your band for the day, with your mobile device and the app, you will be ready to have the best day ever.
Use the app to locate roaming Characters. Impromptu square dancing with Chip and Dale in Grizzly Peak at Disney California Adventure Park is one of our favorite Character memories. Which favorite Character will you meet?
