    is 11-2-2026 a blackout day

Greetings, Marshelle, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you're a Magic Key holder looking to make a theme park reservation. You've come to the right place – I'm a longtime Magic Key holder and can help you out.

Each Magic Key pass has its own set of blockout dates. The Park Reservation Availability Calendar on the Disneyland Resort website is a great resource – that's where I usually go to check whether a pass can be used on a specific day. If you see a date on the calendar with a circle and a slash through it, that means no reservations are currently available for that day. Keep checking back, though, since reservations can always open up. A date with a simple slash through it indicates a blockout date.

Looking at the calendar, November 2, 2026 does not appear to be blocked out for any Magic Key pass type at the time of writing this. Reservations can be made up to three months out, so it may not be showing up for you because it's not within that range yet. Check back in about a month to make your reservation.

Early November is a fun time to visit the parks because it's a time of change – Halloween Time will have just ended and the Holiday decorations will be on the way. Last year, there were already hints of the holiday season early in the month. We'll have a better idea of exactly what entertainment to expect once the Hours & Events Calendar is updated, since it shows details as far as six weeks out.

Remember that each pass can hold a different number of reservations at a time. Plan ahead for the best chance of securing the dates you want. You can easily modify or cancel your reservations – just make sure to do it by 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time the day before a visit if it turns out you won't be able to make it.

Don't forget about the other benefits that a Magic Key pass provides. There are usually some fun extras offered throughout the year for passholders!

If your question was about changing a reservation for a theme park ticket instead, head to the Theme Park Reservation Availability page on the Disneyland website and select your ticket. It will show you the dates and parks in which reservations are available for each ticket type.

Marshelle, please let us know if you think of any other questions – we're always happy to help here at planDisney!
