Hi Courtney, and welcome back to planDisney! I celebrated my 40th birthday at Walt Disney World and had the most magical time with my family and friends. So, let’s chat about recreating your photo!
While there’s no guarantee, as characters and outfits can always change, your best chance at seeing Minnie Mouse in her classic red polka dot dress is over at
Mickey & Friends near
CommuniCore Hall in
EPCOT. My family loves this meet and greet spot since you can take pictures with multiple characters while you’re there. Our other favorite meet and greet is at
Adventurers Outpost in
Animal Kingdom. While Minnie doesn’t usually wear her polka dot dress there, it’s one of the only places where you can take a picture with both Mickey and Minnie together! And their safari outfits are really fun and unique.
Since you’re planning to take lots of pictures during your upcoming trip, you might want to check out
Memory Maker. It gives you access to all of your photos and videos during your visit, including attraction pictures. Those action shots are some of my favorites! And I love how easy it is to download pictures in the
My Disney Experience app to share on social media. There’s also a discount for purchasing Memory Maker at least three days in advance.
And when you’re at Disney World, be sure to get a
complimentary Happy Birthday button at Guest Relations or at your Disney resort hotel’s front desk. Some gift shops also have them at the check-out counter as well. It’s a fun way to invite Cast Members and other guests to join in on your celebration and wish you a happy birthday. I also love to turn the buttons into magnets to stick on my fridge when I get home.
