We will be staying at Port Orleans - French Quarter in March, and I like to eat at the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge. Can we still take a bus from the Animal Kingdom to the Wilderness Lodge for dinner?

Hiya, Sharon, and welcome back to planDisney! I'm so glad you've returned to our magical corner of the internet.

First of all, I'm so excited to hear that you'll be staying at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter (beignet all day, right?!). I recently spent a day there with my pal Kurt, and I just loved soaking up all that charm, beauty, and New Orleans ambiance!

Of course, no matter where I stay in Walt Disney World, I love popping around to other resorts to check out their restaurants and food. While I haven't had the chance to dine at Whispering Canyon Cafe just yet, I absolutely adore Disney's Wilderness Lodge. The last time I was there, I overheard ALL the commotion from Whispering Canyon in the lobby, and now it's on my short list for our upcoming trip!

Sharon, I'm happy to report that as a Disney Resorts Collection hotel guest, you are welcome to use the Disney bus system to get to your dining reservation. At this time, you can easily hop on the bus bound for Wilderness Lodge from Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. If you're leaving from French Quarter, your best option is to take the resort bus to Magic Kingdom and then take the boat to Wilderness Lodge from there.

Now, it sounds like you're a bit of a regular over at Whispering Canyon. But have you ever checked out Geyser Point Bar & Grill? This waterfront eatery is one of my favorite casual dining spots in all of Walt Disney World! And the best part is, you can just stop in for a drink or a quick bite. If you have a little extra time before or after your Whispering Canyon reservation, I highly recommend popping in for a drink.

I hope this helps, Sharon, and that your upcoming stay is nothing short of magical! If you have any other questions as you plot your big adventure, you know where to find me right here at planDisney.

    See ya real soon,

    Allison
