Hey there, Patricia!
Welcome to planDisney! Your planning is off to a great start! I am team rope drop every trip, and love morning vibes in the park. And fueling up before a big day is essential.
Currently, hours for
The Mara are listed as 6:30 AM through 11 PM daily. So Hakuna Matata, friend! This means you can grab a bite, even before rope drop. The Mara serves grab-and-go items at 6:30, including cinnamon rolls, fruit, yogurt, and more. While hot breakfast starts at 7 AM,
Buses do not start running until 45 minutes before
Early Theme Park Entry. So, if rope drop for Disney Resort hotel Guests is 8 AM, you should have some time to grab breakfast before the buses start their day! While dining hours are always subject to change, this location is pretty consistent. Pro Tip: I recommend
using Mobile Food and Beverage Ordering during your stay. This handy tool in
the My Disney Experience app is a great way to order your breakfast without standing in line. Choose your arrival time, place your order, and tap I'm here when you arrive at The Mara. You will get a push notification when your food is ready, and you can grab it from the designated Mobile Order pick-up spot. This has saved my family quite a bit of time during busy seasons. If a hot breakfast is a must, another great option is getting your morning meal in the park. Hop on one or two attractions during Early Entry, then grab breakfast before heading off to your next adventure.
Along with great Quick Service dining at The Mara,
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge offers some
great Table Service options too. If you plan on spending some time at the resort during your visit, be sure to
check out Sanaa. Located right next door at Kidani Village, this spot offers great food with incredible views. Request a table near the window to enjoy savanna vibes during your meal!
I hope your upcoming trip is magical!
