Hi Jan,
Welcome back to planDisney! I'm so glad that the panel is a resource that has been helpful to you over the years, and I'm honored to continue that tradition.
As a guest at a hotel in the
Disney Resorts Collection, you are welcome to continue to enjoy the amenities throughout your check-out day. You can drop your bags at Bell Services and spend the rest of your day at the pool, the theme parks or exploring other areas of Walt Disney World.
I love that you have an idea for packing every minute of your vacation with some Disney magic. My family does the same thing, and we have often chosen a bison burger by the waters of Bay Lake at
Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Wilderness Lodge as our last Disney meal before we head home. It's one of our favorite drop-in restaurants at Walt Disney World, no reservations required, and I would recommend it to you. Or you can visit Wilderness Lodge's quick serve location,
Roaring Fork.
Since you are staying at Pop Century, the most efficient way to reach
Wilderness Lodge would be to hop on the
Skyliner to Hollywood Studios and then transfer to a bus to Wilderness Lodge. Please be aware that buses usually can hold a maximum of two ECVs at a time. Since you have two in your party, you might have to wait a little longer to board a bus if there are other guests with mobility devices waiting, too.
So make sure you allow yourself plenty of time for transit each way. I would suggest at least 90 minutes. When it is time to depart for home, simply return to Bell Services at Pop Century for your bags.
Thanks again for being a longtime guest of planDisney and Walt Disney World, Jan. Please check back any time we can be of assistance.
Happy exploring!
Wilma
