Summer is an incredible time to visit The Most Magical Place on Earth, and I'm so excited to hear that you'll be making the most of that Florida sunshine! It sounds like you have a jam-packed week of pixie dust ahead, so let's talk about your itinerary.
With so many attractions in Walt Disney World, it's impossible to do everything in one single trip. So my best advice to you is to check out
this list of experiences, as well as all the special entertainment available during
Cool KIDS' SUMMER, and decide which ones take priority.
Now, I don't know exactly what your little Mouseketeers are into, but my kids are just about the same ages as yours, so I have a pretty good idea of what they might find most magical! You have a nice, long visit to work with (complete with a rest day on the 28th!), so let's get into the planning.
First of all, it's a great idea to take it easy on your first day in Disney World. This means you can jump straight into the magic on your first park day! With five and a half days to devote to the theme parks, you'll cover plenty of ground. To make the most of your time, be sure to download the
My Disney Experience app to your phone and book your
Lightning Lanes and
Advance Dining Reservations as soon as you are able.
I don't know about you, Ileana, but I never feel like I've truly arrived in Disney World until I set eyes on Cinderella Castle. For this reason, I always like to kick off my trip at Magic Kingdom Park! While you're there, consider a reservation at
Cinderella's Royal Table for a regal and iconic feast. And if your kids are up for a thrill, don't miss Tiana's Bayou Adventure. This one is always a hit, especially when it's hot! At the end of the day, grab a treat from the Main Street Confectionary and stick around for the Happily Ever After fireworks. I
dare you not to cry!
Over the next few days, divide your time between EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. At EPCOT, my family always prioritizes Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and snacking around World Showcase. At Hollywood Studios? Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is this year's next big thing - but don't forget to check out the incredible shows around the park.
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After is a great pick for your kids' ages, and it comes complete with AC!
Over at Animal Kingdom, my family (including my 9-year-old!) absolutely loved Bluey's Wild World. This one is geared toward smaller kids, but if you've got Bluey fans on your hands, you really won't want to miss it. Otherwise, I recommend
Kilimanjaro Safaris early in the morning when it's cool, and Avatar Flight of Passage for a ride you won't forget! Top it off with a bite at
Nomad Lounge (my favorite Disney oasis!).
