Welcome back to planDisney, Jerry! Your holiday visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth will be here before you know it, and sharing a special memory one-on-one with your kiddos is sure to create some extra magic!
Jerry, I decided to chat with my 16-year-old daughter about some options to share with you; she's spent many years exploring the Walt Disney World Resort with me; we even recently celebrated her 16th birthday at an After Hours Event at Magic Kingdom Park! Here are our top mother-daughter picks:
- Experience an art class at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort together. There are currently two art class offerings to choose from - Colors of Coronado Painting Experience (offered on Fridays from 1 PM to 3 PM) and Spanish Mosaic Art (offered on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday afternoons from 1 PM to 3 PM). Both of these would offer your wife and daughter a unique shared experience and a handmade souvenir to commemorate their time together!
- Book a spa treatment at The Grand Floridian Spa. While spa treatments are available for guests age 18 and older, guests between the ages of 14 and 17 are able to enjoy treatments when accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire experience. There are even some seasonal experiences currently available to book, like a Merry Massage, Festive Facial, and a Mistletoe Pedicure! You can book online, email spa.requests@disneyworld.com, or call 407-824-3039 to make a reservation for relaxation!
- Go behind the scenes on Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour. This tour is available to guests age 16 and older, so your daughter is at the perfect age to explore the magic behind the magic!
- Explore the savanna with the Wild Africa Trek. If your wife and daughter are more of the adventurous type, this tour comes highly recommended by my panelist pal Jenna! She has done it many times and promises excitement, great photo opportunities, and amazing memories!
Jerry, I hope this helps! You can also check out a full list of experiences available in the
Enchanting Extras Collection for other ideas! Making memories with your kiddos at the Walt Disney World Resort sounds like the most magical way to spend Christmas, and I'm wishing you all the very best vacation together! If you have any other questions before your arrival, come on back to
planDisney and let us know! We're always ready to help you plan your jolly holiday!
See you real soon,
Alison
