Cheers, Jenna! Thanks for bringing your question to us at planDisney! Pretty soon you and your daughter will be making magical memories on and off the cheer mat at UCA Nationals; my daughter competed at the UCA National High School Cheerleading Championships a few years ago, and she had such a fun time competing and bonding with her teammates!
Jenna, you should not have a problem visiting with your daughter at her Disney Resort hotel; you can even utilize the complimentary
Disney Resort Transportation options to help you get to and from her Disney Resort hotel if you'll be visiting from a theme park! If you'll be driving your own vehicle, be prepared to show a valid ID to the security guard at the resort's entrance and know that it is helpful to share your daughter's name and reservation information, such as the building or room number she is in, so they can verify her reservation if needed.
Guest parking is complimentary when visiting a Disney Resort hotel, but may be limited to a specific amount of time depending on your plans and the crowd levels for the day.
Jenna, the cheer competition scene will be bustling at the
ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, so be sure to take some time to familiarize yourself with the layout using this
helpful map before your arrival! If you'll be driving your vehicle to the competition, parking is complimentary, but allow yourself some additional travel time to prepare for crowds and traffic! You won't want to miss a minute of the excitement!
One last tip I'll offer, Jenna, is that if you haven't purchased tickets to attend UCA's Celebration Party at
Disney's Hollywood Studios, I highly recommend doing so before you arrive through your group's travel liaison! This is such a fun way to celebrate a successful cheer and competition season while interacting with cheerleaders from all over the world! We had a great time dancing at the dance parties, riding some of our favorite attractions, and meeting new cheer friends when we attended this special event a few years ago!
I hope this helps, Jenna! I'm wishing your daughter a clean routine and successful competition, along with magical memories and a whole lot of fun! If you have any other planning questions before the competition, come on back to
planDisney and let us know! You bring the cheers; we're all ears!
Here's to making magic and hitting zero,
Alison
