If my spouse logs into my mde account and we both ride the same ride at the same time, will both ride photos show up? Purchased memory maker but want to omit magic bands but still ensure both adults get photos as we will ride separately with our children.

Welcome back to planDisney, Emily! Memory Maker is such a wonderful purchase because those vacation photos become some of the most treasured souvenirs from your Walt Disney World visit. My family recently returned from a trip, and looking back through our attraction photos has been one of our favorite ways to relive the fun.

I’m happy to share that your plan should work just fine, even if you and your spouse split up to ride attractions separately with your children. As long as everyone is connected through your Family & Friends list and photo sharing is enabled, eligible attraction photos can still appear in your account without using MagicBands.

First, you’ll want to confirm that your spouse and children are properly linked in My Disney Experience. In many cases, guests staying together on a Resort reservation or sharing plans like Lightning Lane selections are already connected automatically, but it’s always a good idea to double-check before your visit.

Next, because you won’t be wearing MagicBands, both adults should carry a Bluetooth-enabled mobile device with the My Disney Experience app installed and Bluetooth turned on while riding attractions. Walt Disney World uses this technology to help connect attraction photos to your account automatically. This setup is actually very common for families who divide and conquer attractions with kids of different ages or thrill levels.

If your spouse later creates their own My Disney Experience account, be sure photo sharing permissions are enabled so those images can still flow into your gallery. And if you ever decide to add a MagicBand+, you can also tap it at attraction photo kiosks near the exit as an extra backup method.

Finally, open the My Disney Experience app, tap the menu icon (☰) in the lower-right corner, and select “Photo Gallery.” Near the top of the screen, make sure the “Include Family & Friends” toggle is turned on. That will allow you to view and download photos connected to guests in your linked travel party. If any photos happen to go missing, Disney PhotoPass Guest Support is usually very helpful with locating them after your visit.

Emily, I hope you and your family have an unforgettable Walt Disney World vacation filled with laughter, thrills, and plenty of photo-worthy moments. Please visit us again at planDisney if you have any other planning questions along the way.

Have an incredible trip and enjoy capturing every smile along the way!
