My Disney Experience app ahead of your upcoming visit
It sounds like you've already linked your resort reservation details, but if not, you can do that
via this link. Once everything is set, navigate to the app's feature menu (≡), then scroll down to view "Hotel Reservations" under the "My Visit" section. Your upcoming stay will appear with options to start the online check-in process. This is optional, but I like completing it ahead of my visit so I can utilize
Direct-to-Room Service once I arrive at the resort. Proceed through the steps as prompted, and you'll receive information about your resort room when it's ready to enter.
Once you have your room number, return to your reservation details in the app, then click the option to "Unlock Door." This will open a Mickey head-shaped digital display you can use to open your room door's lock. There are some
helpful tips and troubleshooting steps on this page, but if you run into any issues, you can stop by your resort's
Front Desk for further assistance.
You'll want to ensure each of the adult guests in your room has downloaded the app and that all their names are displayed on the reservation. If they do not already have their own My Disney Experience accounts but want to share in the planning, you can send them an invitation to
connect via the Family & Friends list. The reservation details should populate once they accept your invitation, but they can manually link the reservation using the link I shared earlier.
My husband and I each have our own My Disney Experience accounts, so the unlock functionality automatically appears on both of our apps when we visit together. I manage my kids' profiles, so while they don't have their own app logins just yet, they can access our room with their linked
MagicBand+. Key cards are also available at the Front Desk if you prefer.
