Ahoy, Bryce! I’m so happy to welcome you to planDisney! What a magical adventure you have in store in October! Not only is it one of the most beautiful times of the year to visit Walt Disney World Resort, but pairing that with a Disney Cruise is what dreams are made of!
Memory Maker is one of my favorite options to add to a Disney vacation. The Disney PhotoPass photos and videos from my vacations are true keepsakes, so I can’t imagine not having them forever! The good news with Memory Maker is that you will receive all PhotoPass media taken within 30 days of activation. You’ll want to activate it on the first day of your vacation. That way, it will still be active when you return from you Disney Cruise for the second part of your Walt Disney World Resort stay.
For
Lightning Lane passes, you would only be able to book them for the entire length of your stay on a split stay vacation if your Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservations were continuous. Because your Disney Cruise falls between those two stays, that creates a gap between the resort hotel reservations. Therefore, you’ll need to book Lightning Lane passes separately 7 days in advance of each stay. My fellow planDisney panelist, Brent, provided
this helpful explanation about a stay just like yours.
October is also a great time of year to visit Walt Disney World because the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will be in full swing! EPCOT has many incredible festivals, but Food & Wine has always been my favorite. I love sampling foods from all of the
Global Marketplaces, and be sure to keep an eye out for announcements about who will be performing at the
Eat to the Beat Concert Series!
Bryce, I hope this helps you plan for your land and sea Disney adventure! If you have any more questions, please stop back by and see us here at planDisney. We have both Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Cruise Line specialists who are here to help add extra pixie dust to every part of your vacation!
See ya real soon and bon voyage!
