How do I plan a trip to Disneyworld as a military dependent?

Hi Belinda, and welcome to planDisney! Let me first say thank you for your family’s service. Walt Disney World Resort is such a wonderful place for military families to spend quality time together and make magical memories. I’m so happy to be able to help you with this question today!

Although I’m not sure what your dependent status is, if you are a military spouse, you may qualify for Disney Military Salute offers. Active duty, retired, and 100% disabled veterans (or their spouses) are eligible to purchase up to 6 tickets with this incredible offer. These are deeply discounted 4-, 5-, or 6-day Park Hopper or Park Hopper Plus tickets. In 2026, there is also a special Disney Celebrates America Military Salute ticket offer which allows admission as many times as you'd like through December 18, 2026, with the exception of a blockout period between November 22 to November 28, 2026. All Military Salute tickets can be purchased at your local military base, Shades of Green, or a Walt Disney World ticket window. They are tax-free on base or at Shades of Green. With these tickets the service member or their spouse must be at Walt Disney World Resort to show a valid military ID in order to activate the tickets on the first use, and at least one of the tickets must be used by the service member or spouse. The other tickets may be used by family or friends.

If you qualify for the Disney Military Salute offers, you are also eligible for discounts on hotel rooms in the Disney Resorts Collection. You can book these by calling to speak with a friendly Cast Member who will be happy to assist you.

However, if you do not feel you qualify for the Disney Military Salute offers based upon your dependent status and the service member or spouse is not traveling with you, they can purchase standard military-discounted tickets for you on base or at Shades of Green. These tickets are not as deeply discounted as the Disney Military Salute tickets, but they are generally 10-20% below the standard cost of admission and do not require a military ID at Walt Disney World to activate the tickets.

Belinda, I hope this helps you get started on planning your Walt Disney World Resort vacation! If you have any more questions about military offers or any other magical details for your vacation, be sure to send them my way. I’m always here to help and love adding extra pixie dust to your Disney vacation planning!

    See ya real soon!
