Aloha, Kellie, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. There’s nothing I love more than talking about Disney merchandise, especially when it means shopping at
Aulani!
I just spoke with an Aulani Cast Member to double-check. They confirmed that you can currently use a merchandise credit from the Disneyland Resort at the Aulani gift shops. Some of my favorite souvenirs are the Duffy and friends merchandise at
Kalepa’s Store, the artwork at
Hale Manu, and the Aulani rash guard shirts at
Lava Shack (they’re great for sun protection and keep you cool when wet!). When you’re in Hale Manu, don’t forget to look up at the beautiful bird sculptures hanging from the ceiling. They all represent different native Hawaiian birds.
As you’re prepping for your vacation, don’t forget to download the
Aulani Resort Mobile App. You can use it to book dining reservations, and I like to preview the activity schedule to get an idea of what might be happening while I’m there (the art and culture tours are my favorite!). Just keep in mind that
character meet and greets usually aren’t added to the schedule until the morning of each day (typically between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.). I love meeting rarer characters like Angel, Duffy, and ‘Olu Mel! I also like to use the app to mobile order food to eat at the pool or to bring back to the room to enjoy on the balcony.
