Hi there, Amber! Thanks so much for coming to see us again at planDisney - it's always a treat to see an old friend! I see that you're headed beyond the reef for a dreamy vacation at
Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and I completely understand wanting to be sure that you capture all of the magical memories that you're sure to make. I'll be happy to help so that you don't miss a thing!
Aulani is such a beautiful place, and there's something picture-perfect around every corner. The resort offers
Disney PhotoPass+ Aulani as a great option to get plenty of pictures to commemorate your stay, and that includes some must-have sunset photos on the beach! You can purchase PhotoPass at the desk located next to
Makahiki - The Bounty of the Islands, and get a physical card from any of the resort photographers. Be sure to take a picture of the card in case it gets left behind at the pool! You'll scan the card any time you have photos taken during your stay, and can view the full gallery in your Disney account online. Keep in mind that Disney PhotoPass+ does have a few exclusions, including Character dining and the
KA WA'A luau, photo scavenger hunts, and private portrait sessions.
As for your beach pictures, I can tell you that we did a
private portrait session before and I was totally thrilled with the results. However, the PhotoPass photographers are usually available on the beach in the evenings, and they will be happy to take some family pictures! The location and time for sunset portraits can change from day to day, so it's a good idea to check the
Aulani Resort Mobile App or inquire at the PhotoPass+ desk to make sure that you are in the right place for those perfect pics. The app is also your go-to for the daily schedule of resort activities.
Amber, I know you must be getting so excited for your Hawaiian vacation - it will be here before you know it! If our planDisney
'Ohana can help with any other questions to add a little extra magic to your Aulani adventure, please reach out anytime.
Aloha!
Susan
