We have an upcoming stay in a Deluxe Studio - Garden or Pool View - at the BoardWalk Villas. I see the room request options include Higher Floor, Near Lobby, Near Elevator, and Ground Floor. What would you recommend? We do not have any mobility concerns.

Hi Anna, and welcome to planDisney! Disney’s BoardWalk Villas is one of my Disney Vacation Club home resorts, so I’m always happy to chat about it!

For a Garden or Pool View room, I like to request Near Elevator, since the hallways at BoardWalk Villas can be long, and Higher Floor because I prefer having a raised balcony versus a patio (which is what the first floor rooms typically have). However, when I’m with my nephew, I usually request Ground Floor so I can roll his stroller right in from the boardwalk or pool without needing to use the elevator (the laundry room and gym are located on the first floor, in case proximity to either one is important). Now, if caffinated beverages are a priority in the morning, you might want to request Near Lobby so you're as close as possible to Carousel Coffee! Besides the beverages, I also love the Crunchy Raspberry Danish there.

If you booked with your Disney Vacation Club membership, you can add a more specific room request through Member Services instead of using the options in online check-in. If you go this route, I like to request a room near the Luna Park Pool for easy access.

As always, room requests aren’t guaranteed, but Cast Members will do their best to grant your wish!

Before I go, I wanted to pass along a few of my BoardWalk must-dos. My family usually starts the day by grabbing breakfast at BoardWalk Deli and eating it at the tables by the water. Be sure to mobile order since it gets busy in the morning!

We’ve also had a lot of fun renting a Surrey bike to pedal around Crescent Lake and playing mini golf at the nearby Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf

At night, we love to watch the street performers on the boardwalk. And when I’m on a trip with my friends, we always stop by the magician-themed AbracadaBar, which has an incredible cocktail menu!

And, finally, be sure to check out the Disney’s BoardWalk Villas Recreation page for the Activities Schedule. There are lots of fun things going on throughout the week, including yoga classes, a pickleball clinic, poolside activities, and nighttime trivia.

I’m wishing you a magical stay at BoardWalk Villas! And if you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
